Associate Living

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The Associate Living Program was developed to offer individuals who are developmentally challenged an opportunity to live as part of a family.

The family and the individual can experience the enrichment of sharing a home and lifestyle with each other, within the community of West Parry Sound.

QUALIFICATIONS:

No professional qualifications are necessary, but anyone wishing to provide support in their home must be a responsible, caring individual, or family and successfully complete the screening and orientation process.

TRAINING:

Community Living Parry Sound will provide the necessary orientation and training required to become a Family Home Provider.

SUPPORT:

The Associate Living Program will serve individuals who may require a moderate level of support, ie. money management; as well as those people who have more challenging needs.

In addition, the Associate Living Providers will receive on-going support, supervision and regularly scheduled respite from Community Living Parry Sound.

REMUNERATION:

Excellent remuneration will be provided.

Sponsorship of the Associate Living Program will be an on-going responsibility of Community Living Parry Sound with Associate Living Home Providers receiving a portion of their financial reimbursement through the Association.
