Day Support Services

Community Living Parry Sound Day Support Services program is designed to provide individualized supports to adults with disabilities in order to participate more fully in community life.

The emphasis of Day Support Services is the provision of adequate supports to allow the individuals to choose and pursue activities in the community.

The types of activities people can become involved with include:

• work and volunteer service in the community
• education instruction
• recreational pursuits
• in-house vocational activities
• life skills enhancement
• community skills such as shopping medical appointments, etc.

Community Living Day Support Services is seen as a complement to the Job Opportunities Bureau, which focuses solely on competitive employment or preparation for competitive employment.
