Respite Services

Program Overview:

ARS providers support families that are caring for an adult family member with a physical/developmental disability. Respite services allow families to obtain relief from their care giving role and to promote and maintain the integration of the family unit.

Qualification:

No professional qualifications are necessary ,criminal reference check, however, is necessary.

Training:

CLPS will provide the necessary orientation and training required to become an adult Respite Provider.

Support:

  • Relief will be provided to families in order to prevent burnout.
  • Services are provided to enable care givers time away to attend to other family members while the special needs of their family member are being met.
  • Repite Services are creative, flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of the family member and the caregiver within existing resources.
