About

In common with most human service agencies today, Community Living Parry Sound began with the intense interest, hard work and commitment of ordinary citizens; volunteers who keenly understood the needs of people for whom they sought to provide services.

What began entirely as a volunteer organization has evolved gradually through the years to an agency offering a number of services staffed by paid workers. Volunteers, however, still play a central role in the agency; as members of the Board of Directors, members of the committees of the Board and friends and advocates of the people for whom services are provided.

Community Living Parry Sound works to ensure that people with developmental disabilities can live in their community under conditions that encourage personal growth and promote participation as valued and contributing citizens.

Community Living Parry Sound is incorporated as a non-profit organization and is jointly funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services as well as donations from private and corporate members of the community.
