What would a meaningful day look like for our relative with a disability? And, once we’ve envisioned this, what steps do we need to take to ensure that our loved ones are sharing their gifts, contributing to their community and having the possibilities of developing valued relationships? Join us as we discuss how to develop a vision, explore community spaces and discover socially valued roles for our loved ones – while ensuring that we honour their choices.
Who should attend?
Families who would like to support their relative with a disability in finding ways to become more integrated in the community and to contribute his or her talents, skills and interests in meaningful, desirable ways.
What you’ll get out of attending:
- Strategies you can use to enhance your loved one’s life;
- An understanding of how you can leverage your family member’s interests and passions to create a full life; and
- An opportunity to connect with other families facing similar issues and concerns.
